The One Thing Your Website Needs in 2015

In this day and age, it’s hard to imagine there was a time when companies chose not to have a website. But it was just a few decades ago that websites were brand new and companies were not sure if they were worth investing the time and money into them. Some got on board early and others, had to to pay the price for waiting to launch a digital presence.

Well, one could say that we are at that crossroads when it comes to mobile presence. Many companies and brands have yet to optimize their website for mobile because they are unsure if it is worth the time and money. If you are still on the fence about mobile, it’s time you hopped over to the mobile side because, much like the internet changed the business landscape, mobile is doing the same.

If you have not optimized your site for mobile yet, here are three reasons that it should be at the top of your to do list for 2015.

Your customers are using mobile devices to search the internet

In 2014 mobile traffic (search and apps) exceeded desktop traffic and according to Statista, mobile devices accounted for 31.2% of worldwide website traffic, a figure that has grown year on year over the past five years. The truth is mobile is not the future. It’s already here.

Mobile users are more likely to purchase

Mobile uses typically operate differently than desktop users. They are usually looking for information quickly and easily or have a specific goal in mind when they are searching website. For examples, they are looking for hours of operation, directions or daily specials. They are less likely to be passively browsing on websites. Some statistics have even shown that mobile users spend more money per purchase than desktop customers do.

Your customers and potential customers are already seeing your site on mobile

Based on all of the statistics, you can easily reach the conclusion that you are customers or potential customers are already looking at your website on their mobile device. So if your website is not mobile friendly and it does not look great or is not easy to navigate for your users, they will leave your website quickly. When that happens, they might just end up with your competitors, which loses you money.

Don’t miss out on the huge opportunities mobile can bring you and your business and optimize your site for mobile this year. Contact us to get a quote or learn more about the process!
