Instagram, the photo sharing social media app, recently announced new and improved tools for businesses using the app. Yesterday, Instagram announced a number of new features that will let businesses get a better idea of what posts are working.
One of these features is a business dashboard built into the mobile app where businesses will be able to see impressions, reach and engagement. Business will be able to compare their impressions with the previous week and see their top posts.
Additionally, businesses will be able to create an official business page that will include a contact button for followers to call, text or email a business or get direction to its location. Having an official business page will allow businesses to create their organic posts into an ad without leaving the Instagram app. The catch to this is that if you want to have an official business page, you need to have a Facebook business page.
Instagram announced it would be bringing more business tools back in March but it will now begin rolling out in the coming months. It’s predicted that by the end of 2016, every business will be able to have an official business page. This is just the latest in a string of features Instagram has been steadily adding to gain business traction on the app and pave the way for more advertising opportunities.
